SO STOP LOOKING FOR ARGUMENTS TO MAKE WHERE NONE EXIST.If you really feel strongly about rape then why not go argue with someone that ACTUALLY AND OPENLY SUPPORTS IT instead of people you can INSINUATE support it or  people who have made a a mistake you can correct from way up there on your pedestal. Its in the context of this, an article written by UniLad, which is some kind of online student magazine. That article from The Huffington Post should explain everything, but heres the deal: The comments here show you real people making real threats about rape as though its nothing. And that shows the culture we live in, and what “banter” like this creates. Like you said, you’d have to be crazy to “condone” rape but by laughing at these “jokes”, and by continuing to justify them with “lad” and “banter”, you’re creating a society in which rape is normalised. Even rapists don’t seem to openly support rape.) (however what i’m trying to explain is that supporting this culture, supports rape in turn) I came online so late into this whole thing that I didn’t really know where to start but I would just like to point out that everything on Eden’s status and all the things Issy has been saying today and all of it has really genuinely upset me. I must be the most naive person in the world because I genuinely didn’t realise the extent of this and I didn’t realise that someone like Eden would actually have ‘facebook friends’ that are such moronic vile people and I had never read any of this unilad stuff but it has made me feel physically sick and I am SO ANGRY and I am not an angry person, especially when it’s stuff over the internet. I don’t let it bother me. to say the word ‘however’ and then follow it with ‘rape jokes’. Oh I don’t even need to say it. GROW THE FUCK UP AND EDUCATE YOURSELVES because if it’s not ignorance then it is because you’re a terrible person. PICK YOUR CHOICE. Eurgh eurgh EURGH. I guess I am just surrounded by nice people so when I stumble across people whose very existence makes me angry I am quite shocked. on a night out once a ‘lad’ said he would rape my friend in ‘banter’ and all the other ‘lads’ around him laughed and I didn’t dare speak up because there were so many of them and I am pathetic and I felt so terrible that I CRIED. I guess it just goes to show that you don’ have any worthwhile ‘banter’ if that is your banter and you have no life and eurgh go away. ‘They were joking’ is the most pathetic excuse I have ever seen and it keeps being used today and it makes me want to punch everyone in the face.
